Classic symptoms of Dengue and Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever
The Dengue is an infectious disease whose causative agent is a virus transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito virus.
The first dengue, of any of the 4 serotypes, Dengue fever is contracted. Once classic Dengue had it is exposed to the rest of life to contracting DHF.
If is again bitten by the carrier of any of the other three serotypes mosquito, that is, with a different serotype to the first, Dengue hemorrhagic, which is fatal in most cases shrinks.
Symptoms of dengue fever
These symptoms begin to show between 5 and 8 days after the bite and may last 3-7 days.
The onset is abrupt, with rapid rise in temperature, chills, very bad headache, pain behind the eyes, generalized muscle aches and lower back. Then spots appear on the skin, starting on the trunk, extending to the face, hands, forearms and feet and can be confused at first measles.
Some patients have:
- Rash on the trunk, arms and legs.
- Bleeding gums.
- Often there is vomiting and diarrhea.
Unfortunately some people have such mild symptoms that they do not know already suffered Dengue fever, Dengue hemorrhagic being exposed.
Symptoms of (potentially fatal) DHF
- Fever sudden high that can last for 2-7 days.
- Bleeding in different parts of the body body.
- Difficulty in breathing.
- Vomiting.
