What are your university accommodation options?

0 0

When you decide to go to University, the chances are you are going to want somewhere to live. There are a variety of options that you can look at. It is something that you need to get sorted out sooner rather than later. When you become a student, it can seem that everything comes at once. Where you are going to live should take priority.

  1. Stay at home. Why bother moving at all? If the Uni is good, you can save yourself a bundle of money by just paying nominal rent to your parents. You won’t get that independence that you crave, though.
  2. Halls. This is usually covered in the first year of your Uni years, but it only delays the inevitable. After a year, you have to make room for the new influx of students. However, some options to stay for longer are available on some campuses depending on the space.

  1. Rental accommodation. This is the most popular option after the first year. It also gives you the chance to sample real life. Perhaps you could move in with housemates, or if you are lucky, you could look at Cheltenham Student Accommodation experts https://www.yourperfectpad.com. They can fix you up with the best place.
  2. Fraternity Houses. They are more common in the North American College system, but there are examples in the UK as well. They may not be as crazy as the film Animal House, but they are a place of like-minded people.
