One thing that many people are doing, is looking at their lives and the way that they live and how they can make changes that will reduce their carbon footprint and the impact they have on the planet.

Eco-homes are something that have been getting more and more popular as climate change becomes more worrying, and when building and designing these eco-homes, a lot of thought is given not just to the way that the home operates to be environmentally friendly, but also the materials that it is built from.

In recent years, the popularity of natural materials in building has increased – things like these Timberpride oak garages are becoming more popular, with the modern and man-made materials being shunned in favour of natural materials.

The main reason that natural materials are better for the environment, is because they are much easier to recycle and not as damaging to the environment. Materials like wood and stone can easily be re-used as well as being biodegradable. Something else that people find beneficial about the natural materials is the closer connection to nature and the natural world that they feel.
